What is the SoD Fan-Fiction Club?
The School of Dragons Fan-Fiction club is designed for writers and readers who share a similar passion: Fan-Fiction.
What is the purpose of SoD Fan-Fiction?
The School of Dragons Fan-Fiction has several purposes. First, to unite those who love to read and write fan-fiction. Second, to encourage creativity. Third, to show off what fan-fiction is available. Fourth, to encourage communtity.
What are my responsibilities as a member?
Once you join, you'll be responsible for reading the fan-fiction assigned to you (and, of course, you are allowed to submit your own). On the weekend, we'll take a break from reading fan-fiction to talk about the stories we've read. More information on critique and encouragement will be given in a future blogpost.
What do I gain when joining the SoD Fan-Fiction Club?
Well, first, you can choose one of several banners to put into your signature. This will not only advertise the club, but allow you to show that you're a proud member! If you're a writer, and you submit your story into our library, you'll gain more notice which heightens your chance at more readers. If you're a reader (and all members are) you get to explore the characters and creativity that writers put into their fan-fiction. All members (and non-members) will be allowed to view a blog talking about different topics for writers and readers! In addition, you'll get your own card to put in your forum signature. How do I sign up for the SoD Fan-Fiction Club?
A form is available for all interested parties HERE. Make sure you read and fill out everything.
What are the regulations for writers who want to submit work into the SoD Fan-Fiction Library?
1. All work must be yours.
2. To regulate traffic and make things simpler, please submit one form per story and only one form at at time. One your story been added to the library or rejected, you can submit another for.
3. We accept T rating and under. We don't accept M stories.
4. Since we're gathered on the SoD Forums because we love HTTYD, any fan-fiction that isn't HTTYD will be placed under "Optional Reading." It seems a little unfair to force someone to watch a movie or tv show they've never seen because they have to read a fan-fiction.
How can a story get rejected?
By not following the rules. Submitting for than one form for a story, or even submitting two forms at once for two different stories. Submitting stories rated M. Disrespecting other members.
